May 2024 Awaits!
Join the excitement this spring at EVICS Family Resource Center! We're here to make a difference in the lives of children and families. Together, we can create a nurturing space where everyone thrives. Be part of our special journey this May at EVICS!
Estes Park has limited services for expectant moms, so we are so excited to offer our Sprout to Success Program! We offer Child Birth Classes, Infant Feeding Support Groups, and Lactation Consultations, all free of charge! On May 5th, we supported 4 families in a childbirth class; if you missed it, you can still register for the next one on June 9th!
It’s warming up outside! Join us Wednesdays from 10:30 - 12:00 at Stanley Park for Outdoor Playgroup. EVICS values hosting playgroups because this provides a vital service to families to connect with one another and create their own network of support. Parenting has enough challenges, so important to find friends you can lean on when you need support. Additionally, children learn best through play, so this time is valuable for learning skills like sharing, taking turns, and working on gross motor skills together.
The Kid’s Closet is open! EVICS launched this program last month offering free children’s, nursing, & maternity clothing, as well as baby items like pack & plays and strollers. We have already distributed 470 articles of clothing and 17 pairs of shoes! At this time, it is open by appointment only on Wednesdays from 2:00 - 4:00. This has shown great need in our community and we eagerly hope to find volunteers to extend hours that the Closet is open. If you’d like to donate items, you can do so on one of our monthly Donation Days directly at the Closet. We kindly ask you do NOT bring items to our office for efficiency sake, and as we rely on volunteers to process donations. The next donation date is Thursday, June 6th from 9:00am - 11:00am at 1865 Fish Creek Road Unit 208.
On May 16th, we kick off the summer with Fishing & Feathers Clinic! We are so thankful for our summer partnerships that allow us to collaborate on free outdoor family activities! This specific clinic offers free dinner, a bird-related craft, and fishing with a fishing pole you get to keep, so don’t forget to register!
